A lengthy, but an excellent article to me, filled with wisdom and words to think upon.

Why you…

July 23, 2009 at 2:32 pm | In Family | 1 Comment

Last night when my brother and I was walking to Simei MRT from Changi Hospital…

Brother: It’s strange eh, how we are siblings, but we do not have any resemblance. Like my friends, they have resemblance with their other siblings.
Me: Of course we don’t have any resemblance. I’m much better looking.
*He pretended to puke.*
*Me rolled eyes.*

After we literally ran UP to the MRT platform, so that we wouldn’t have to wait for another torturing 6 minutes for the next train… We succeeded in catching the train.
Me: *running out of air*Oh my God… I almost died running ok!
Brother: Why didn’t you?

What Is Love, You Ask Yourself

What is Love you ask yourself, this qustion you do ponder
How can Love feel so good, yet hurt so much you wonder
Why does Love you ask yourself, make your heart beat faster
How can Love feel oh so true, yet couldn’t last forever

What is Love you ask yourself, and will it break your heart
How can Love know she’s true and that you’ll never part
Why does Love you ask yourself, make you miss her oh so much
How can Love jump your heart at her slightest touch

What is Love you ask yourself, what is there to gain
How can Love that once was true bring you so much pain
Why does Love not all be true and burn you oh so deep
How can Love one so real be just a memory to keep

What is Love her answer comes, someday it will come true
How will you know it’s real, it’ll turn the grey sky blue
Why  do you keep the hurt inside, release it and you will wonder
How did you miss my Love so real, like the stars it will last forever

“Take full advantage of your youth before your old age.” – Rasulullah S.A.W.

Yesterday I went to the ‘Uth CAN. Change. Act Now. Seminar’ after my driving lesson. After a long time not attending such things, I am happy that I did attend this one.

It has hit some more sense into my head, enlightened my heart, and motivated my spirit. Insya-Allah, when the opportunity comes, I will get to share what was shared during that seminar.

In the meantime, I need to get my room cleaned. :D

The MRT Voice

July 18, 2009 at 8:29 pm | In Uncategorized | 9 Comments

For those who go to work every everyday taking the MRT train, you will hear a voice reminding you not to eat/drink in the station, a voice who makes sure you call the authority if you see something suspicious, etc… The voice which our Makcik Joyah luuuuurves to repeat without fail after everytime the voice comes out.

Earlier today, Zakiah shared with me something interesting… She told me to look up ‘Juanita Melson’ in Youtube.com…. That MRT voice belongs to, or rather, the MRT announcer, is Juanita Melson.

So, as told by Zakiah, I looked the name up and watched the video. It left my jaws opened. Somehow I was amused. All this while, I actually thought that voice was computerised, or something.

Joyah,  this video is dedicated to you… and to the others out there who loves to try to imitate the MRT announcer.

My Mum’s Word (Cont’d)

July 14, 2009 at 1:32 pm | In Uncategorized | Leave a Comment

In one of my posts before this, I did mention that I’d like to share what my mum said to me one night.

“Our life and everything we own are just a loan to us from Allah s.w.t. He can claim them all back anytime He wishes to.”

A simple, but meaningful advice. She was talking to me about personal financial management – my least favourite topic, which obviously I failed to escape at the time.

I shall spare you from what she ‘lectured’ me about, because I do not want to remind myself the contents of it. *shudders* But for sure, I am taking baby steps, and this time, I want to make sure I reach my goal.

InsyaAllah.

Ice Princess… *Tak Menjadi*

Our ‘official’ plan for yesterday’s date was to go to Marina Barrage (since I had never set my foot there)… BUT due to some circumstances, going to that place seemed inconvenient that day… Since Tok and I rarely date, I insisted that we needed to do something or go somewhere memorable.

After our soya beancurd breakfast at Kovan, we headed down to Ehub for some bowling. For someone who totally suck at the sport, I did pretty ok. Haha… I won the first set, and Tok won the second. While playing, somehow we manged to scan around the place and ‘gossip’ about other players.

Especially the father and son team who was playing beside us. The boy was about primary 3… and it seemed as if the dad woke him up and said ‘WAKE UP! LET’S GO BOWLING!!’, and the boy just dashed to the door and off they go to Ehub. Seriously, this boy was not groomed properly enough to leave the house… and it was either he hates the dentist, or the dentist hates him, because he needed serious dental treatment. Seriously.

BUTTTTT… I think bowling runs in his blood. Because when he missed out ONLY two pins, he shakes his head in disappointment. And whenever his dad striked all the pins, the boy screamed ‘OUTSTANDING!!!’ Like whoa… or what.

After two sets, we were cracking our heads of a place to go. And…. ding ding ding!!!

This was another place which I had never set foot in (not to mention the whole mall itself) and we tried ice skating!!!! It was my first time, and I know nothing about ice skating… IT WAS TORTURE!!!! I was so afraid of falling down but after one hour plus later, I got slightly better, but still a disaster compared to a figure ice skater… and I fell down a few times.

I will never do ice skating anymore, unless I can work the roller blades. Then I woke up today with sores all over my body. Argh.

Nak memorable sangat kan… serves me right. Pffft.

A Movie Night Out with the Brother

July 10, 2009 at 10:39 pm | In Family | Leave a Comment

Last Thursday night, my brother and I went to watch Ice Age 3 at EHub… After that….

That’s only going out for a movie, mind you. Thank God, I have a family member who loves cam-whoring as much as I do. Unfortunately, last year’s hari raya, we did not own a digicam (all the photos above were taken using the newly digicam our dad bought for our mum’s birthday… lol, spot the irony?), otherwise if we choose to print them all out at a photo shop, I think the printing machine in that shop all tak boleh angz.

So as you can see, we ended the whole day off by taking a photo which looks as if I was stealing a bicycle. Actually, the bicycle belongs to my neighbour.

HAHAHAHAHAH. Ade basikal sendiri, ambik gambar dengan basikal orang lain. Sort dot betol.

Oh well, the hilarious thing was that we were trying to control our laughter as hard as possible (because we already laughing macam orang giler in the lift up) and I tried to pose macam orang nak curi basikal… which I guess, the pose wasn’t convincing enough eh?

I doubt my neighbour reads my blog (because she’s an old auntie, her children seem like the career-minded sort, and her grandchildren are still toddlers). But if she DOES - Auntie ah, sorry ah… I just play play only. My bicycle nicer than your one. I don’t want to steal your bicycle. Sorry ah.

Locked In.

July 7, 2009 at 8:19 pm | In Random Thoughts | 2 Comments

I had never imagined to have landed myself in this situation – I just found myself LOCKED IN the office!!! And it’s about 8.15pm right now.

I had forgotten to transfer the office key into my other wallet when I changed wallets. I decided to stay a bit late today to clear as much work as I can, and when my boss offered to lock the door before he left, for the sake of my safety, I happily said ‘OK’ and conveniently forgotten about the key….

Just when I was packing up and about to throw the rubbish, as I walked towards the door….. Argh, why didn’t it hit me much earlier when Boss said he’d lock the door? I tried to search for an extra key, but to no avail. Extremely panicked, the first person I called was Siti. And thank God, she is on the way here now from wherever she is to rescue me.

Next, I called Tok… well… he let out a little laugh, which later made me laugh along, at my own silliness. Gosh, stoooopid…. stooooooopid!

So now, here I am blogging about my plight, while waiting for Siti…. =S
